MICROSOFT OFFICE TUTOR: Make your Excel chart fill the entire window (2000/2002/2003/2004/2007)

When you create a large or complex Excel chart, it’s a good idea to position it on its own worksheet. This way, you’ll be able to view, modify, and print the chart more easily. When Excel creates a chart sheet, it automatically displays the chart onscreen using the same relative dimensions the chart uses when you print it. However, if you’d like to view more of your chart onscreen, you can easily rescale it to take up the entire application window.

To do so, choose View | Sized With Window. Now, whenever you resize Excel’s application window, the chart sheet automatically rescales itself accordingly. This automatic scaling is for onscreen use only and doesn’t affect the way your chart prints.

Adapt for Excel 2007
The Sized With Window feature doesn’t exist in Excel 2007. However, you can use the Zoom To Selection command on the View tab in the Zoom group for a similar result.
